Niall Geaney

BA LLB Solicitor

Niall Geaney is a member of the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland, England and Wales. Niall advises SME businesses and start up entrepreneurs in relation to commercial contracts, employment law and commercial property in particular.

Niall also has a keen interest in sports law and advises on governance, regulatory and disciplinary matters. He has acted for participants in GAA, rugby, boxing, soccer, motorsport and various other sports in relation to such issues.

He frequently advises on legal issues facing sports athletes in GAA and has represented a number of players before the Dispute Resolutions Authority recently. Niall is passionate about safeguarding rights for children in sport and advises many families throughout Ireland on this topic. Niall also advises individual sports athletes on liability issues for on field assault incidents and has recently been published in the Irish Examiner in relation to this topic.

Niall currently sits as the Vice Chairperson of the FIA Formula One and Formula E Cost Cap Adjudication Panel as a Judge at International Level in Motorsport. He also has significant experience in advising on Sports Disciplinary and Regulatory matters nationally and has previously advised the National Governing Body (Motorsport Ireland) on numerous occasions over the last 13 years. Niall's knowledge of National and International Rules and Regulations surrounding a variety of mainstream sports are vast which he has developed through his interest and experience of sport and is amongst only a small handful of lawyers in Ireland with such experience and knowledge.

Niall also is a member of the governance committee of Golf Ireland and its current Chairperson of the Disciplinary Panel. He also sits on the disciplinary panel of the Football Association of Ireland. 

Niall is a member of the Irish Centre for European Law in Trinity College and Irish Environmental Law Association.

Niall also sits on the Board and is a trustee of a number charities both in Ireland and abroad. 

Niall was educated at the University of Limerick where he graduated in 2004 an L.L.B Law Degree prior to qualifying as a Solicitor. 

Niall spends his time enjoying the beautiful countryside in our Cork office in Clonakilty and the city hustle and bustle of our Dublin office in Clontarf.

Patrick Geaney

Solicitor / Mediator

Patrick established the firm in 1995 and has successfully developed it over the last 26 years to the successful nationwide practice that it is today.

Prior to this Patrick had over thirty years legal experience working for other legal firms in Limerick and for Limerick City Council

Patrick mainly advises both private and commercial clients in respect of Residential and Commercial Property transactions, Planning Law and CPOs, Personal Injuries, Probate and Wills, Debt Recovery Actions and Licensing Law.

Patrick is also an Accredited Mediator and is qualified to assist in all forms of Mediation at our Limerick offices or nationwide.

Patrick is also a member of the Irish Centre for European Law in Trinity College and Irish Maritime Law Association. 

Patrick spends his time in our Limerick office in the beautiful village of Adare.
